The Foundation Team traveled to Tallahassee to meet with legislators and receive a $110,948.24 check from the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations (CFEF) through their School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program.

The money will be used to support a number of different education initiatives in Seminole County Public Schools including: Grants for Great Ideas, Tools 4 Seminole Schools, Take Stock in Children, the new Mechanics Physics Bus, the Aviation Academy, and the beloved MudWalk.

We thank our local legislators, Sen. David Simmons, Rep. Scott Plakon, Rep. David Smith and Representative Joy Goff-Marcil, for their continued support of the state matching funds that provide support for student in need within our school district and throughout the state. We appreciate your commitment to the students of Seminole County Public Schools!
