Seminole County Public Schools is committed to creating positive learning environments and promoting kindness between all individuals. This is only possible by creating a safe environment through the support of our community, parents and educators. To support this cause, The Foundation will be holding a fundraiser to support mental health and school safety in Seminole County Public Schools.

All donations received through The Foundation’s Text-to-Give program between February 25 – March 6, 2019 will benefit mental health and school safety initiatives in Seminole County Public Schools. To support this initiative, simply text “SCPS” to 243725 and click the link to donate.

This fundraiser is being held in combination with the Seminole County Public Schools School Safety and Mental Health Summit on Thursday, February 28, 2019. The Summit is open to the public and will be held at Lyman High School from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. This joint education event will raise awareness about mental illness and increase knowledge about mental health services and threat assessment teams in schools. In conjunction with an expert panel of school personnel, local law enforcement and community partners, community stakeholders can learn the importance of addressing mental illness in children.

The Foundation is proud to support this and many other initiatives and priorities of Seminole County Public Schools.
