The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools held its second annual A Night of Impact Gala, presented by Orlando Health on Saturday, November 4th. This event gave guests the red-carpet treatment while raising funds to support the amazing programs in Seminole County Public Schools. Student performances showcased the talent within the school system. With the support of our community, The Foundation raised over $240,000 that will support programs such as Take Stock in Children that provides mentoring, support, and scholarships to give students an opportunity to escape the cycle of poverty through education. In addition, funds raised at this event provide much needed supplies for our homeless students, innovative classroom grants, support for teachers, and college scholarships for deserving students. The Foundation’s mission is to ensure that every child can come to school, ready to learn.
“We’re excited to see our community come together to raise funds to support students in need and enhance unique career/technical programs in our school system. Having a great public education system makes Seminole County a place families want to live – and funds from this event help our school system remain A rated.” Shared Jean Vansmith, Executive Director of the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools.
This event was presented by Orlando Health, and supported by Diamond Sponsors Duke Energy, VMG Mechanical, and Wharton-Smith, Inc. Thank you to everyone in our community who came together to join us in making an impact!
