Community members and businesses in Seminole County came together on Saturday, December 3 to raise funds to support K-12 Education. The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools hosted a brand-new inaugural fundraising event called A Night of Impact, which was a gala held at the Westin Lake Mary.
With the generous support from sponsors and attendees, over $224,000 was raised to support students. The mission is to ensure that every child can come to school, ready to learn.
A Night of Impact, presented by Orlando Health, gave guests the red-carpet treatment while raising funds to support the amazing programs in Seminole County Public Schools. The event featured a silent and live auction, VIP reception, gourmet dinner, live band, and a showcase of programs of the Foundation. The event highlighted the impact donations to The Foundation make to provide resources to the over 1,500 homeless students in Seminole County, STEM programs, and mentoring and college readiness coaching for over 100 high school students.
“This event was a chance to have a good time for great cause. Our supporters really stepped up to make sure students have the resources and support to excel in the classroom. It’s amazing to see how our community values education, including supporters like Orlando Health and our Diamond Sponsors: Duke Energy, VMG Construction, and Wharton-Smith” shared Jean Vansmith, Executive Director of The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools.
Thank you to everyone in our community who came together to join us in making an impact!
