The Homer N. Allen Charitable Trust awarded The Foundation $15,000 to fund a Biomechatronics program at Markham Woods Middle School. This program will introduce students to the key concepts of neurosciences, robotics, anatomy & physiology, electronics & circuitry and prepare them for this promising and globally competitive field. As Seminole County Public Schools consistently works to keep up with ever changing STEM education, this grant will be used to support permanent equipment within the biomechatronics lab.

We’re excited to see the new lab come together and thank the Homer N. Allen Charitable Trust for supporting the students of Seminole County Public Schools! Homer N. Allen’s legacy will live on in the education and inspiration he’s provided to the students of Markham Woods Middle School.
