Since 1996, the Foundation has been committed to supporting the arts in Seminole County Public Schools. Each year through our Inspired by Art program, the Foundation distributes over $100,000 in funding to support art programs throughout the district. These funds benefit numerous district-wide programs such as music festivals, thespian competitions, art shows and even classroom arts grants through Grants for Great Ideas. In addition, every school receives a donation in the spring to support their arts programs. The distribution amount is based upon student population and school’s art needs.
In 2023, the Foundation introduced Inspired by Art Week. This new program provides teachers the opportunity to highlight their talented students and premier visual and performing arts programs through a video submission. Each day of the week, a different art program is featured on The Foundation’s social media showcasing the amazing talent and art programs within our Seminole County. Those who were featured on social media received a donation to their school’s program. Submission details for Inspired by Art Week will be up in Winter 2023.
The Inspired by Art program aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to promote the arts and provide funds to art programs each year to ensure every student has access to enriching arts curriculum.
