Are you a student or teacher who is inspired by art? We want to see what you / your class is doing! Inspired by Art week will be held the week of February 12th through the 16th. Art is an essential way for creativity to shine through and we are looking to showcase how our talented students are inspired! This can be through the visual and performing arts, art-based classroom projects, band, theatre, videography, animation, etc.
Submit a YouTube video OR photos and write up of how you are inspired by art by Monday, January 29th!
Following the deadline, the Foundation will determine which submissions will be showcased during Inspired by Art week. If yours is showcased on our social media, your school will get a $200 donation for that program! Collaborations are welcome, such as an AV club filming a classroom art project or a band and dance team performing a piece together. For programs that collaborate, each program participating would receive a $200 donation.
Please read the steps below carefully on how to submit your information and video to The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools for the judges’ review.
- Video Your Act / Take Photos: Either video yourself or have someone video for you. Be sure to introduce yourself/your group, grade level and school. Your video can be no longer than 4 minutes.
OR
Submit photos of your art project with a write up describing it. Explain the impact that is has on our students. - Upload Your Video to YouTube: Be sure your video is unlisted and comments are turned off. You should include your name (or names of those in the group), grade level(s), school(s) and type of performance in your video details. You will need the video link when you submit your Video Submission Application. Here is a link on how to upload unlisted videos to YouTube – https://youtu.be/JOr7JluzEOM.
- Submit your video audition using the Video Submission Application form: Once your video is complete and uploaded unlisted on YouTube OR you have your photos and write up, you’re ready to submit your Inspired by Arts Submission Application form. This can be done starting Monday, December 11th through Monday, January 29th. Be sure to fill out the form completely. The online application form can be found here HERE.
